It has been said that we hit only what we aim at.

The pastors and leaders of Eternal Word Ministries in Mount Darwin District, Zimbabwe set an audacious goal when they met with Dr. Bob Pearson, Founder and President of MDAI on Friday, July 18, 2025.

They made the decision to plant ten new congregations over the next five years within a 75-kilometer radius of the mother church where Reverend Trymore Mateyan’anga is the Lead Pastor.

By the end of 2025, these leaders had successfully planted three new churches.  During the first few months of 2026, church leaders worked to strengthen these congregations.

While this was ongoing, Pastor Mateyan’anga appointed some of his church leaders to start cell groups in three more nearby villages.  In the last few months of 2026, the goal is to turn these cell groups into functioning congregations.

When Dr. Pearson was introduced by Pastor Mateyan’anga to the leadership of these new churches at the Pastor’s and Leader’s Conference in March, 2026 in Harare, he asked Reverend Trymore, “What will happen when you have achieved the goal of planting ten new congregations?”

“We will identify another ten locations where we will plant more churches,” Mateyan’anga responded, “for church planting is now in our DNA.”

Congratulations to Pastor Trymore Mateyan’anga and his leaders, for they are hitting at what they are aiming at in Mount Darwin District, Zimbabwe!
